38 Weeks 29th May 2012

I and My baby are together since 38 Weeks. ie 266 Days.
With in 10 to 12 days I will see my baby. Ho Gosh! I am waiting for that day.

How Big is my Baby:

Baby Updates:

•  Baby's organ functions work out the final kinks when you are 38 weeks pregnant.
• His/Her nervous system functions increase.
• His/Her brain helps him refine breathing, improve digestion, regulate his heart rate, and prepare for eating.
• Your baby might pass solid waste, called meconium, prior to delivery.
• He/She has reached what will likely be his birth length.

My Updates and Highlights:

• On 25th May, My fnds gave me a super duper Surprise baby shower
• Krishna had Surprise baby shower on day before mine but , He missed it. He got 100 dollar gift card though. 
• I am getting more and more frustrated these days. 
• Every night I am feeling so tierd and Sugar levels are very high these days, in 150s. everytime as I am not walking properly 
• If I walk a lil bit, I feel so dizzy quite often
• My baby kicks a lot and he/she changes the place so much, thats when my belly shape changes 
• Getting so much Contractions these days. 
• Trying to find the ped , found 3 to 4 of them. Have to finalize one soon
• Met the doc on 24th May. I had white discharge so much, so I called the doc and told . She wanted to confirm if it amniotic fluid or not. She said its not. I was so afraid on that day. Came home and worked from home on the same day :)
• Getting so much pain in the main place from which my baby is going to born. :). Feels as if something is coming out. 
• Eating yougurt before bath and drinking milk before brushing these days
• Dont have patience to do head bath these days 
• Labor bag packed during Memorial weekend. All Set ,half stuff is in the car and have to put rest in the car. 
• Count down, Counting the days 
• We went to JCP Potraits and too maternity pics on thursday May 24th. Just waiting fro those pics tio collect. 

Surprise Baby Shower -May 25th-37 W 3 days

Hey,
My fnds gave me a Surprise baby shower. I guessed But just imagined, not sure. These are my new fnds and not in my team as well.

Few days back Swapna said, Its Snehas Birthday on 25th and we all are throwing surprise b'day for her.
She mentioned that the dress code is kruthi. Thats when I guessed a lil bit.
But was not sure.

I didnthave kurthi, Nothin fits me. Everyone wore. Afternoon like all we planned we all went to Swapna's house. Best part was they decorated sooooo well with Pink and Blue balloons. How sweet.

They had a Potlock, Took lot of my pics. They all shouted Surprise as soon as I entered. I was like a center of attraction among all

These were the ones who organised.
They did Pulihora, curd Rice, Noodles, Sweet, Sambar, Chole, rice, Chips. Everything was so good. I didnt even test or bother about Diet. I ate so much :)

I loved the decoration, Cute baby milk bottles, gala gala etc. Love everthing. I am so happy, its like a life time exp.

24th May- 37 W 2 days

Today I had non stress test. Baby was doing great. Since yesterday I had white discharge and it was lil heavy.
I called Doc in the morning after coming to work. I reach work at 9:30. I called the doc at 10:30 ,11ish. She asked me to come for the check up , just to make sure I am not leaking Amniotic Fluid.

I know everything is fine, so I asked if can I come tomorrow ,she said no , come now.
I called Krishna, msged, many times. There was no reply from him. I was so scared. I thought may be I am going to labor today. But it will be very early.  I had random thoughts in my mind. I started shivering. I know I shouldnt be like this during my actual labor. I told Kalyani and Swapna the situation so that they are aware if I go to the Hospital. I also informed Jess in my team as Gina was not there at her desk.

Finally krishna came and picked me at 12:15 .Poor Krishna he ran b/w his meeting. I shouted at him so much for not picking up the calls and not replying my msgs,but he didnt get any msgs to his cell. So finally we went to the hospital. Health and body was I am perfect except this discharge. Doc checked me , she said its normal discharge. We both came back home and I worked from home, Krishna went to work.

he called later and said that he missed the surprise baby shower ...I felt sooooo bad. His fnds gave him 100 dollars baby r us gift card. :).He used to get one more baby dress but he missed it. He will get it later.

Evening after krishna came home we both got ready and went for the photo shoot in JC Penny :)
We both wore Black dress. I loved the pics. We will go and see them on Sat and finalize what to take etc.
Night after coming home I cried and shouted at mom and dad as the food was not ready and I am feeling so much hungry. Later I felt very bad for doing this.
Daily  night I am getting high readings during dinner. 149,155,150 :(
I dont know what to do. Even after taking insulin I am getting high.

And ....Mom washed baby clothes , all new clothes. Now my baby dresses are all set :)

So conclusion, we need to keep the labor bag ready and be prepared from now on. The big day can come at anytime. Any day can be a big day from now on....

37 Weeks 1 day - 260 Days :) May 23rd 2012

Time to celebrate. I finished Official full term. I just have days left now.

How Big is my baby darling:

Baby Updates:

• Final preparations in the womb begin
• baby's weight gain slows considerably, but she has just a little more room to grow.
• Essential fat (also called baby fat) will continue to form. This will round her out and help her stay warm after birth.
• Right now, little superstar is busy rehearsing for his big debut, inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid (to get the lungs ready for that first breath), sucking his thumb (to prepare for that first suckle of milk), blinking, and turning from side to side.

My  Week Updates:

• I am becoming more and more tired.
• My stomatch has dropped so much
• Maternity dress are also tight for me.
• Most of the time I feel tierd but some times when I am active , I want to do all the work in the home.
• Weekend I cried and was scared that nothin is ready . I was overwelhmend , that my labor bag is not ready, car seat is not fixed. Crib was not fixed, We didnt take the maternity pic yet. We didnt wash all baby clothes etc etc.
• Mom washed few baby clothes on monday.
• Crib was fixed , It looks so good. We made Lord Krishna to lay on that crib 1st :)
• Got Leg cramp for the second time on Monday  night, becoz of that I didnt go to work on tuesday.
• Organized all the baby stuff.
• During weekend we all went to Hopkinton state park, Njoyed a lot.
• All things are moving now.
• Sugar readings are up and down.
• Had one more non stress test and Doc apt.Doc said next apt , they will discuss my Labor plan
• Getting painful contractions these days
• I feel I have pee but I get it less, I know its becoz Babys head has moved so down.

Baby Shower Pics

36 Weeks 1 day May 16th 2012

I am successfully finished 36 weeks. I can feel my baby so much. I can feel his/her legs. I can feel the body and i can also feel when the head moves. i love this a lot.
At the same time I am sooooo tired. Couple of times I was almost crying. I wanted to cry But I controlled myself.
Weekend Athaya and mamaya came back from NJ.The same weekend we went to Cochituate lake park. While going I wasnt feeling well but after going I was fine.
If I go for shopping, walk fro sometime I feel hungry, Low Sugar and shivering all the time. I am becoming so heavy. I dont have strength. Krishna started dropping me to work But sometimes I have to drive when I have doc apts etc.

i just have 3 weeks more now. (37,38,39) After 39 weeks it can be any time. Because doc said I will deliver b/w june 5 th to June 12th. She wont go beyond june 12th ie 40 weeks.

I am getting strong contractions these days. it pains from bottom.

I had my ultra sound on Monday (May 14th) Baby was 6 pounds 6 oz at that time. Me krishna mom dad we 4 were in the ultrasound room

Highlight: I saw when my baby blinked his/her eyes.So cute. I was surprised. I thiught that my baby's eyes will be big like pappa.

• Baby gains 1 oz a day . 
• End of this week Baby is considered Full term ,Some say end of 36 , some say end of 37. 
• baby can listen, feel, touch and see
• His/her gums are firm with ridges that look somewhat like teeth
•  baby has definite patterns of sleep and wakefulness—opening his eyes while awake and closing them while sleeping. 
•  baby will become alert and turn his head toward light and sound just as a newborn would.
• baby is now around 18½ inches.

35 Weeks 5/8/12

I am 35 weeks today. I will finish my full term next week. I had lot of fears about Pre term etc. But I am doing great by God's grace. I am active , but if I am inhurry and during stuff for long time I will be tired.

How big is my baby:

Baby Highlights:

• Baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that s/he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds
•  Number of times he kicks should remain about the same. Yes he is kicking so much.
•  Most of his/her basic physical development is now complete — S/he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
• Her/His brain development continues to advance quickly.
• Baby gets hick up quiet often , Almost 6 times a day.

Highlights this week:

• Baby kicks with his/her legs sooooo much. I can feel it
• grand mom and grand father came yesterday :),Mom and pappa went to pick them up.
• Grany's has brought soooo many baby boy and baby gal dresses. Not sure if its a boy or gal.
• Went to the hospital yesterday(Monday) 5/7/12. Has baby's first non stress test. OMG it was so good. They kept two belts to my belly , one belt  is to monitor Baby's heart beat and the other one to check the contractions and the baby movement. I sat on the big chair, so comfy, Nurse like dme so much and she was so good. Baby's heart beat varies from 135 to 170 to 180 and again 140 and 150 etc. As the heart beat increase the heart beat sound increases and vice versa. I and Pappa both loved it. Pappa recorded it also. I had couple of contractions also. :).Nurse said that my baby has passed the test.Krishna was like, out baby passed his/her first test :)
• Had diabetic appt, I said false about 3 readings, So I should be very carefull. Friday I went to Indian buffet and evening to bertusciss. Next day night I ate puri and mango juice, so I got high readings.
• I know my baby is so active.
• On monday I went to the Doc , she said as I am taking insulin , they wont go beyond 40 weeks. They will deliver the baby b/w 39 to 40 weeks. That day will be decided after checking the dilation etc during 38 weeks.
• My current weight 182 1/2 p  as per monday morning.
• me and krishna watched few delivery videos. C section, Epedural and normal. I think Epidural is better than non medication. Ofcorse I am prepared for all.Baby has to be healthy.
• Grany brought lots of toys and baby disty pusalu,and few bedding sets and molathadu
• Grany brought Lord Krishna which she took in dhwaraka.
• We got baby crib and Swing from NJ. All are jungle theeme. :)

34 Weeks 1 day 5/2/12

Hey I completed 34 weeks of my pregnancy. My baby darling is growing so fast. I love you sweet heart.
I love the baby movements. i can feel the baby feet and legs now, I can feel my baby's butt and I know where is the head, I can feel his/her hickups so well,. I know when the baby moves and sleeps.

How big is my baby:

Updates about the Baby:

• Baby now weighs about 5 1/2 pounds (like your average cantaloupe),I think my baby is over  5 pounds now,  and is almost 18 inches long.
• Baby's body fat layers which will help regulate the body temperature once s/he's born — are filling her/his out, making her/his rounder
• Baby's finger nails have reached tips of his/her fingers. So cute. I love those tiny miny fingers and soft and sharp nails. Baby your nail clipper is also ready dear , Can't wait to hold your lovely and soft precious hands. When I keep my finger in your hand ,I am waiting for you hold it tight.
• The white, waxy coating protecting your baby's skin (vernix) thickens this week.
• The soft downy hair (lanugo) that insulated  baby's skin so effectively for months is now almost gone. 
•  baby might gain about 1/2 of a pound this week as his/her weight continues to build quickly.

Highlights and Week updates:

• Got all Baby stuff from Anu's house.
• Brought Stroller and Car seat on 25th April.
• Brought new born baby dresses.All are yellow , white combinations
• Brought Baby wash clothes, Bibes and scocks and Mittens.
• Had my diabetic appt , Doc said my readings are high , and during I have to start taking insulin. I started taking insulin from yesterday exactly 34 weeks. I was so worried , if this is good for baby ? But I checked online, it says it doesnt effect baby at all.
• Feeling fine, but becoming tierd after reaching hiome in the evening, I am cooking and Krishna is cleaning the house every day
• Moved our bed and , created the space for baby crib, just waiting for the crib and fixing it.
• Mom and Dad's tickets are confirmed and they will be reaching here on 7th May.
• Now I have lots of non stress and Ultra sound appts , and along with this I will have docs appt too.
• Still in search of 2 Br houses to move after delivery
• Still could able to manage going for long walks, driving the car , going and coming to work, Can manage sitting down and cutting my toe nails etc :)
• I cant wear my lose tops also now, I have to wear maternity clothes itself.Short of dresses
• Every started asking me when am I due...
• Started getting some achne on my face, not sure if it becoz of preg?
• Now got used to the braxton Hicks ...I can bear them

Thats all as of now....Just couting the days and waiting for my baby to see with my eyes and hold him/her and feed him/her.
